Floatation Therapy

Floatation therapy is the practice of lying back effortlessly in our floatation chamber, and drifting into a blissful, deep, meditative state that rejuvenates and revives your mind and body.

Here at Halo we have a floatation room, currently the only one in the North East, specifically designed to block out all external distractions including light, sound, tactile sensations and gravity. You are in control of the sound and lighting levels for your float session. Your first float might feel like magic, however the effects of floatation are cumulative – the more open you float, the better it is for your health, happiness and performance. Halo recommend a course of three floatation sessions, if you are a first time floater please ask for a consultation where we can talk you through the benefits and the best course of treatments for you.

Your floatation experience is delivered through a super-saturated Epsom-salt solution, containing magnesium rich Epsom-salts. The solution is heated to skin temperature 35.5 degrees, and the environment in the floatation room is controlled so that the air is also skin temperature. Once you are sealed, it is impossible to tell which parts of your body are in the water and which are not. This allows you to float effortlessly on the surface of the water, enjoying a feeling of total freedom and weightlessness which encourages a deep relaxed state which can last for several days.

Single session: 60 Minutes £35
